In this session, we consider how development finance institutions are distributing deals across their portfolios. 

• When DFIs talk about ‘distribution’, what are they actually distributing - B-Loans, unfunded risk, guarantees, or FI onlending - and which of those do banks actually want to hold? 

• How standardised is a DFI-originated ticket today versus a commercial syndicated loan?

• How should banks think about DFIs’ preferred-creditor status, sanctions, and political overlay when they are asked to sit behind them? 

• Transmission, water, social FI and renewables-plus-storage dominate origination: Which of those is genuinely syndicable to banks, and which only works as a DFI hold?
